With a gift for finding humor in life’s challenges. As the youngest of seven, she experienced both poverty and middle-class life, shaping her unique perspective. After several failed attempts to write her memoir, focusing on her failed marriage to a bipolar professional roadie set in the 1980s music scene, Hollie found inspiration in another form on her 60th birthday. Her humorous reflection on aging sparked the idea for her debut book,
